This notice describes the public-beta website as it exists on the date shown above, including on-device news-interest and audio-reader controls. It does not describe planned accounts, newsletters, advertising tools, apps or submission systems because those features are not open.

Submitted data

No accounts, public submissions or sign-up forms are open. Readers can enter a city or area and choose news interests to filter their edition.

News-interest choices

Region, city, interests, narration language and voice are saved in this browser’s local storage. Region, city and interests are sent as query parameters to retrieve the matching news feed and briefing; they may appear in ordinary request logs and shared URLs. They do not create an account or advertising profile. Clear saved preferences on the edition page or clear site data to erase them.

Audio-reader choices

The selected voice and briefing length are sent to request previously generated audio. Voice recordings are shared news clips, not personal voice clones. No microphone access is requested.

Location

Use my location requests browser location permission and an approximate country from our host. Coordinates are compared with a small city catalogue on your device; they are not uploaded or saved by NULLPEN. The resulting city choice is saved locally and sent in feed queries. You can decline permission, choose manually or change the suggestion. We do not identify returning readers through IP addresses or browser fingerprints.

Request data

Hosting, network and security systems may process ordinary request metadata such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamp and diagnostic or security signals.

Cookies

NULLPEN does not intentionally set analytics, advertising or personalization cookies in this founding build.

Analytics

No audience analytics product is intentionally enabled in this build.

Advertising

No ad network, behavioral tracker, conversion pixel or advertiser audience list is active.

The site relies on hosting, delivery and security infrastructure to return pages, maintain availability, diagnose faults and resist abuse. Those providers may process request metadata under their own service terms and technical retention controls. NULLPEN does not use that operational data in this build to create reader profiles or sell audiences.

Assets and fonts are served with the site rather than intentionally loaded from a third-party font network. Following an external link moves you to a service whose privacy practices are separate from this notice.

Request and security logs should be retained only as long as needed for delivery, abuse prevention, debugging and infrastructure obligations. Exact provider retention periods will be documented before this notice is promoted from beta to a final operational policy.

No system is risk-free. The current reduction strategy is to avoid collecting reader-submitted data until access controls, retention, deletion, incident response and rights-handling procedures are ready.

Before any feature begins collecting personal information, NULLPEN will publish an updated notice identifying the formal operator, responsible contact channel, purposes, processors, retention periods, applicable choices and a procedure for exercising data rights. Commercial and legal intake remains closed until those details are confirmed.

The service is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly solicit information from children in this preview.

Browsing and RSS use do not enroll you in marketing. Before any newsletter opens, we require separate opt-in, address confirmation, clear sender identification and a tested unsubscribe and suppression process. Optional tracking requires an appropriate legal basis and any required consent; sensitive news interests are not advertising audiences.
