Public availability does not automatically authorize republication. We distinguish facts from protected expression and record the basis for using images, writing, data, fonts, recordings and other materials. Attribution and an AI label do not replace a license or a valid legal exception.

Permission

Record the source, rights holder, license or reviewed exception, file version and conditions. A government release or aggregator label does not automatically clear embedded third-party material.

Scope

Check editorial and advertising use, modification, platforms, territories, attribution, duration and any required sublicenses. One social platform’s music permission may not travel with an exported video.

People and identity

Assess voice, likeness, privacy, performer and trademark rights separately from the copyright in a file.

Change and expiry

A new edit, paid campaign, provider, country or platform may require new clearance. Preserve the evidence and suspend affected future uses when permissions lapse.

Our halftone, ink and paper illustrations use an original editorial treatment. They must not trace a protected composition, imitate a competing mark or manufacture an eyewitness scene. Every AI-generated illustration is labeled at the image, including when adapted for a social card or recap.

Concept art is not a photograph of an actual event or property. AI-provider terms do not establish exclusive copyright in every generated element or guarantee that an output is free of third-party claims. We make no such blanket claim.

Synthetic narration requires separate authorization for each voice and its intended use. It does not mean a human narrator personally witnessed or endorsed the report. Sound design is a production treatment, not documentary audio of the event.

You may read the public site, share links and use RSS in a personal feed reader. Subject to rights we actually hold, brief contextual quotation with attribution and a link is permitted for commentary or reference. This permission does not sublicense third-party pictures, music or clips.

RSS availability is not a blanket license for full republication, resale, commercial syndication, bulk image extraction or model training. Separate permission may be required. We do not claim ownership of facts, ideas, public-domain material or a general artistic style, and mandatory legal exceptions remain unaffected.

News reporting is not a universal copyright exemption. No fixed number of words, pixels or seconds automatically makes copying lawful; the applicable jurisdiction and circumstances matter.

A useful rights concern identifies the affected URL or asset, the right and original material involved, the claimant’s authority, an explanation and supporting information, and a reply contact. Copyright, trademark, privacy, likeness and correction concerns may need different processes. Avoid sending unnecessary identity documents or confidential information.

Our intended process is to assess credible concerns, preserve proportionate evidence, restrict access where justified, consider the supplier’s evidence and explain a decision where lawful. An allegation alone does not establish infringement; new evidence can warrant reconsideration. Applicable legal deadlines and remedies take priority over internal targets.

A copyright notice, advertiser warranty, AI disclosure, “opinion” label or company registration does not eliminate publishing responsibilities. We preserve non-waivable rights and do not claim a DMCA safe harbor for our own editorial content. Any future user-content service requires its own legally applicable procedures.
