Publish only what the evidence earns.

Every material claim begins at null: unverified, unattributed and not ready for publication. The burden is on the record to move it forward. Popularity, confidence and repetition do not count as independent confirmation.

Confirmed

Supported by a primary record or by multiple attributable sources whose claims can be reconciled. Confirmation applies to the specific claim, not an entire narrative.

Developing

Newsworthy and attributable, but materially incomplete or awaiting independent confirmation. The unresolved point must be named.

Modelled

A calculated estimate or scenario derived from disclosed inputs and assumptions. It is never presented as an observed outcome.

Opinion

An editorial interpretation or House View. It must be clearly labeled and linked to the observed evidence that informed it.

Corrected

A published record changed for accuracy or clarity. Material corrections preserve what changed, why and when.

Retracted

A record no longer supportable at publication standard. The original URL and a reasoned notice remain available when legally and safely possible.

Historical comparison is used to distinguish recurrence from novelty. “Unprecedented” is reserved for cases where the available comparable record supports it; otherwise we describe the event without the claim.

Forecasting is a structured editorial exercise. We combine historical patterns with current observations about demand, construction, infrastructure, mobility, complaints, needs and commercial behavior. Interpolation is not treated as destiny.

Observed

The dated source evidence available at the review cutoff.

Assumptions

The conditions that must hold for the view to remain internally coherent.

Horizon

Near, operating or structural term, stated in months or years rather than implied.

Range

Scenario intervals are preferred to false point precision when uncertainty is material.

Confidence

A qualitative assessment of evidence completeness and model stability—not a probability of profit or loss.

Revision triggers

The measurable changes that would strengthen, weaken or withdraw the view.

NULLPEN begins with four operating lenses: Santo Domingo, East, North and South. Within them, a province, municipality, corridor, resort district and gated community are not interchangeable. Where evidence supports it, we publish at the smallest responsible geography. Where it does not, we resist neighborhood-level implication.

Crime, safety and traffic reporting require particular care. Isolated incidents are labeled as isolated unless a wider pattern is supported; rates are not inferred from anecdotes; and location detail is balanced against privacy, dignity and foreseeable harm.

AI may help collect, compare, transcribe, translate, summarize and structure material. It may not silently invent a source, elevate an unsupported claim or authorize publication. Material claims require a review trail back to the underlying record.

The English master controls where translations diverge. Meaningful translation uncertainty is escalated for human review rather than hidden behind fluent wording.
