Super Bowl LIX MVP odds: Is AFC quarterback a lock to win award?

We’re still several NFL games away from knowing which two teams will face off in Super Bowl LIX on FOX on Feb. 9.

However, bettors can already dive into the odds for which player will be named MVP of the Big Game. Let’s check out the early odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Jan. 20.

Super Bowl MVP 2025

Patrick Mahomes: +280 (bet $10 to win $38 total)
Josh Allen: +280 (bet $10 to win $38 total)
Jalen Hurts: +400 (bet $10 to win $50 total)
Saquon Barkley: +550 (bet $10 to win $65 total)
Jayden Daniels: +700 (bet $10 to win $80 total)

This year’s potential regular-season MVP Josh Allen along with two-time regular-season MVP and three-time Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes sit tied atop the oddsboard. Currently, Mahomes’ Chiefs are slight favorites to make it to the Super Bowl out of the AFC, according to the odds

Kansas City — the top seed in the conference — has hoisted the Lombardi Trophy the last two years, and Mahomes was the MVP in each.

Mahomes and Allen’s odds both shortened after the divisional round, with Mahomes going from +400 to +280, and Allen going from +550 to +280.

Third on the board is Eagles’ QB Jalen Hurts. He saw his odds move from +1000 to +400 after Philly knocked off the Rams in the divisional round.

The only non-quarterback in the running is Philadelphia’s Saquon Barkley, who has been dominant through two playoff games so far.

Bettors might want to note that over the last week, Barkley has surged up the board, moving from +1200 to +550. Through the wild-card and divisional rounds, Barkley has 324 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
