New Delhi: NATHEALTH, has appointed Ameera Shah, Promoter and Executive Chairperson of Metropolis Healthcare, as the body’s next President for FY 2025-26.
Shah previously held the position of Senior Vice President at NATHEALTH and will now assume leadership from outgoing President Abhay Soi, Chairman and Managing Director, Max Healthcare Institute Ltd.
The announcement was made during the NATHEALTH Annual General Meeting, held following the organization’s annual flagship summit in New Delhi.
Speaking on her appointment, Shah emphasised the importance of addressing systemic healthcare challenges to achieve the goals of Viksit Bharat 2047. She highlighted the need for strengthening quality standards, accelerating digital health adoption, and fostering public-private collaboration to position India as a leader in MedTech, diagnostics, and medical value travel.
Following the leadership change, Dr Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd., will take over as Senior Vice President. Himanshu Baid, Managing Director of Poly Medicure Ltd., has been appointed Vice President. Varun Khanna, Group Managing Director of Quality Care India Ltd., will serve as Secretary, while Rishubh Gupta, Managing Director for India and Neighboring Markets at Roche Diagnostics India Pvt Ltd., will hold the position of Treasurer.
Dr Sangita Reddy stressed the importance of evolving India’s healthcare landscape to meet the demands of its growing and diverse population. She underscored the need to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, streamline insurance regulations, build capabilities, and integrate technology to enhance patient outcomes.
