Kolkata: Narayana Health has commenced work on Narayana Health City, a large-scale hospital project in New Town, Kolkata. Upon completion, it will be the largest private hospital in Eastern India.
The 10-lakh-square-foot facility will feature multiple specialized departments, including oncology, cardiac sciences, organ transplants, orthopedics, trauma care, neurology, gastroenterology, renal sciences, and critical care. It will also include state-of-the-art diagnostic and outpatient services to enhance patient care.
With the foundation stone laid for its fifth hospital in Kolkata, the facility will be developed in phases, further cementing Narayana Health’s position as a leader in Eastern India’s healthcare landscape.
Highlighting the facility’s transformative potential, Dr Emmanuel Rupert, Managing Director,Group CEO, Narayana Health, said, “Narayana Health City, New Town, Kolkata, will be the largest private hospital in Eastern India, redefining healthcare in the region upon completion.”
Beyond specialised treatment, the hospital aims to strengthen Kolkata’s critical care and emergency response capabilities, ensuring better access to life-saving interventions.
