Lucknow: To promote dignity and well-being among the elderly, encouraging senior citizens to make independent choices, stay emotionally resilient and remain mentally engaged are major aspects of geriatric care for elderly patients.
This was highlighted by medical experts in a programme, ‘Jeevan Vistaar‘, focused on geriatric healthcare at Health City Vistaar Hospital in Gomtinagar on Sunday.
The hospital officially launched its Jeevan Vistaar initiative, aimed at enhancing healthcare access and overall well-being for individuals aged 60 and above. The event, hosted at Vistaar Vatika, brought together elderly residents from nearby housing societies, including Alaknanda, Omaxe, Shalimar, Rapti and others, for an interactive Meet and Greet session.
Dr Sandeep Kapoor, managing director and co-founder of Health City Vistaar Hospital, highlighted, “We owe immense gratitude to our senior citizens for their lifelong contributions. With Jeevan Vistaar, we aim to create a haven where elders can live with independence, stay mentally and emotionally active and be part of a vibrant community. Our goal is to provide not just medical care, but a life of respect, engagement, and purpose.”
As part of the programme, senior citizens will benefit from discounted outpatient consultations, diagnostics, and pharmacy services. They will also receive priority appointment scheduling and access to dedicated waiting areas for their comfort. To further ease their experience, the hospital has introduced the Vistaar Mitra volunteer programme and launched exclusive privilege cards for members.
Co-founders Dr Sandeep Garg and Dr Rajesh Arora, along with the hospital’s team of consultants, interacted with attendees, elaborating on the programme’s offerings and long-term vision.
