Ludhiana: A mini atlas of a laboratory diagnostic-cum-table calendar was released by JPS Gill, vice-chancellor of Gadvasu, here Thursday.
The calendar features high-quality images of common laboratory diagnostic findings, which will aid in quick visual reference for disease diagnosis.
A unique feature of this calendar is the integration of QR codes. By scanning these codes, users can access a comprehensive list of diagnostic tests offered by the diagnostic laboratories of ADRC, a multi-specialty veterinary hospital of the veterinary varsity.
This initiative aims to enhance awareness and accessibility of laboratory diagnostics, bridging the gap between clinical practice and advanced laboratory support for efficient disease diagnosis and management.
The atlas has been conceptualised & designed by MS Bal, incharge Animal Disease Research Centre (ADRC) and Vishal Mahajan, principal scientist for veterinary students and practicing veterinarians.
Bal said it will also include a table calendar with details of the diagnostic tests available at the vet varsity. The monthly calendar would have QR codes on all pages, with information and pictures about the common diseases.
“The atlas and the calendar would provide easy access and information about all the test facilities offered so that they can refer to accurate and timely diagnosis for early treatment of ailments and prevent any diseases animals might suffer,” he said.
