Bilt members can now use Bilt Rewards Points to book Lyft rides, Bilt announced earlier this week.

To use Bilt points to pay for Lyft rides, you must first link your accounts in the Lyft app: Open your Lyft app and select “Add rewards program” under the “Linked accounts” tab. Once you’ve added Bilt, you’ll see a “Points” button in the lower right-hand corner of the Lyft app when requesting a ride. Simply select that option to pay via the “Points” button when booking your next ride.

The standard Lyft redemption rate is 0.7 cents per point. For example, 15,000 points are equivalent to $105. However, Bilt will occasionally feature promotions and special offers that will get you a better rate.

This news expands the ongoing Bilt-Lyft partnership. Bilt members and Lyft riders who have linked their accounts also earn 2 points per dollar on Lyft rides. Plus, Bilt Mastercard® holders can earn an additional 3 points per dollar when they use their Bilt card to pay for Lyft rides.

Cardholders can use the Bilt Mastercard to earn up to 100,000 points in a calendar year on rent payments sans a transaction fee (see rates and fees). Additionally, this card earns 3 points per dollar spent on dining and 2 points per dollar spent on travel purchases, among other earnings categories. You just have to use your card five times each statement period to earn points (see rewards and benefits).
