Apple set to revamp Health app with AI-powered coaching, ET HealthWorld

New Delhi: Apple is reportedly working on a major overhaul of its Health app, introducing an AI-powered health coach to provide personalised wellness guidance. According Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, this initiative, internally referred to as “Project Mulberry,” aims to transform the Health app into a more interactive and insightful tool for users.

As per the report, the AI coach is designed to analyse health data collected from Apple devices, including the iPhone, Apple Watch, and third-party products, to offer tailored recommendations for improving overall health. Features such as food tracking, workout analysis, and sleep optimisation are expected to be part of the revamped app. Apple is also reportedly developing educational content, with doctors recording videos to explain health conditions and provide actionable advice.

The new service, tentatively named “Health+,” is currently being tested and could debut with iOS 19.4, slated for release in spring or summer 2026. Apple is training the AI coach using data from in-house physicians and plans to collaborate with external experts specialising in nutrition, mental health, and cardiology.

This move aligns with CEO Tim Cook’s vision of making healthcare Apple’s greatest contribution to society. With the Health app’s evolution, Apple aims to empower users with advanced tools to monitor and improve their well-being, setting a new benchmark in AI-driven health technology.
