Colombia turns to Venezuela to help 'eradicating' armed gangs in border region




With at least 80 people killed and 40,000 displaced during a week of violence as rival armed groups battle over drug trafficking territory in northeastern Colombia, President Gustavo Petro reached out to Venezuela on Thursday to propose a “joint plan to eradicate armed gangs on the border”.
