AIIMS-Bhopal adds new eye testing equipment this summer, ET HealthWorld


Bhopal: AIIMS Bhopal‘s Department of Ophthalmology has established two additional refraction units in its Eye OPD in this season.

This development aims to enhance the quality and speed of eye examination services for patients.

The new installations will streamline the eye testing process, making it more convenient for the public, according to a press release.

The units will provide essential services including refraction for vision assessment and eyewear prescriptions, corneal surface analysis through topography, and eye muscle evaluation via Hess screening. These facilities will particularly assist patients who need routine check-ups, specialised evaluations, or detailed eye consultations.

New refraction units will not only reduce the waiting time for patients but also enhance the quality and scope of eye examinations. AIIMS Bhopal Head of Ophthalmology Department, Dr Bhavana Sharma, highlighted this development as a crucial advancement in improving eye care accessibility and quality.
